Back in July, I entered into the world of being a two-blog canine science blogger. Here’s the deal:
Dog Spies will continue to provide in-depth explorations of dog behavior and cognition studies. These are my favorite posts to date:
- "Guilty look" in dogs (Part 1, Part 2 and the scientific publication)
- Humping resources (don't say I never gave you anything)
Mia and I met at the 3rd Canine Science Forum in Barcelona, so DYBID? is a mixture of dogs & Spain! |
Do You Believe in Dog? is a bit different. It’s a collaborative, pen-pal blog between myself and the awesome Mia Cobb, also in the field of canine research. She primarily investigates the welfare of working dogs, and you can learn about her awesomeness here, and an overview of her research here.

The premise of Do You Believe in Dog? is simple. "What happens when two canine scientists become pen pals in an era of digital media?" Each week, we go back and forth in shorter, more conversational posts discussing different dog behavior, cognition and welfare topics. Recently, Scientific American awarded us 'Blog of the Week!' We got excited and made signs.
Thanks to blog editor, Bora Zivkovic! Our "Blog of the Week" happiness! |
Dog Spies and Do You Believe in Dog? have similar messages: Dogs are fun, therefore scientific investigation into dogs is fun (and useful)!
